It’s great, isn’t it?  But it can also be pretty tough, especially if you’re on your own. Like when you don’t know the tricks that the pros use to get their style and sound. Or when you know your chords, scales or rhythms but can’t connect that to the music you play and it’s no longer fun.

This has got to be one of the best times to learn guitar. There are good transcriptions in many styles and the web is full of info, tablature and video lessons.  The truth is, all of those videos, books, and computer-based tools share one flaw:

They can’t hear you.

They can’t give you feedback. They can’t prevent you from forming habits  that could make things more difficult and even cause injury. They can’t help you develop.

An experienced teacher can help you make the most of your playing time and help you play the way you want to.
